   Wajib belajar 9 tahun adalah kalimat yang sering kita dengarkan di dunia pendidikan Indonesia. Wajib belajar 9 tahun sama dengan lulusan Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Akan tetapi masih banyak anak-anak di Negara kita ini yang belum pernah merasakan belajar di sekolah.
  Indonesia yang merupakan Negara kepulauan membuat masyarakat yang berada di daerah terpencil tidak dapat mengenyam bangku pendidikan. Hal seperti inilah yang membuat kementrian pendidikan dan kebudayaan melakukan suatu program yang akan mengirimkan tenaga pengajar ke daerah-daerah terpencil di Indonesia. Hal ini di lakukan agar wajib belajar 9 tahun dapat dilakukan dengan baik.
  Biaya pendidikan yang mahal di kota-kota juga membuat masyarakat yang memiliki perekonomian menengah kebawah tidak dapat menyekolahkan anak-anak mereka. Sehingga anak-anak mereka membantu kedua orang tuanya untuk mencari nafkah. Hal seperti ini membuat dunia pendidikan semakin parah. Karena perekonomian keluarga yang rendah membuat merela lebih suka bekerja daripada belara.
   Untuk menjalankan program ini dengan baik. Sebaiknya pemerintah membuat sekolah-sekolah gratis kepada masyarakat yang kurang mampu. Dan memberikan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat bahwa pentingnya mengenyam bangku pendidikan untuk anak mereka yang merupakan penerus bangsa ini.
